When it comes to rivalry in cricket, the games between India and Pakistan are hailed as the most competitive and enjoyable. For the longest time, whenever India and Pakistan have clashed on the cricket field, it has resulted in some fascinating contests between the bat and ball. While Pakistan have managed to win more games against India at an International short-format level, India have managed to win more games when it comes to ICC tournaments ladies and gentlemen.
Some time back, when the news of BCCI deciding to not send the Indian cricket team to Pakistan for Asia Cup 2023 was revealed, a lot of cricket fans were left divided. While some felt that cricket and politics shouldn’t really be mixed, others feel that it was the right call. Yesterday former Pakistani all-rounder and ex Prime Minister Imran Khan had a life-threatening attack on him. Luckily enough, he managed to escape with minimum wounds as the bullet hit his legs. He is right now under hospital supervision and medical care.
However, all this has right now in a way worsened Pakistan’s chances of hosting the Asia Cup 2023. A lot of fans feel that if their ex Prime Minister isn’t safe and protected in his own country, there’s a huge element of risk always remaining for others.
