The last few days have been quite difficult for cricketers like Eoin Morgan, Joss Buttler and Eoin Morgan after old tweets of them apparently mocking Indian accent resurfaced. Ever since then, there has been a constant pressure on them to react to the issue.
While ECB is currently investigating the matter for Eoin Morgan and Joss Buttler, KKR franchise which has Brendon McCullum as ‘Head Coach’ and Eoin Morgan as captain have finally reacted to the issue.
During a conversation with Cricbuzz, KKR CEO Venky Mysore was quoted as saying,
“We don’t know enough about it to comment at this time. Let’s wait for the process to be completed to get all the facts before we jump to any conclusions. Just to reiterate, the Knight Riders organisation has ‘zero tolerance’ for any sort of discrimination.”
