Filmmaker Farah Khan, in her latest YouTube vlog, visited legendary Indian badminton champion PV Sindhu’s stunning new three-story bungalow in Bengaluru. The double Olympic medalist and Padma Bhushan awardee relocated to the city with her husband, Venkata Datta Sai, to comfortably focus on her high-intensity athletic training camps.
Sindhu resides in a multi-level bungalow with three floors that undoubtedly comes with a hefty price tag.
The multi-level property begins with a large, rustic wooden door that opens into a grand hallway. Guests are instantly greeted by lush indoor plants, premium rugs, and a large, majestic portrait of Lord Venkateswara (Balaji) adorning the focal wall.
Further down the gallery passage, one side is entirely dedicated to an aesthetic black-and-white gallery wall. The wall displays Sindhu’s most iconic, career-defining sports triumphs alongside intimate snapshots from her grand wedding day.
The Mahabharata Chess
The hall’s key attraction is a custom glass-and-marble chessboard. This unique statement piece recreates legendary battlefield scenes from the Mahabharata, featuring meticulously detailed figures of the Pandavas and Kauravas as active chess pieces.
The room features neutral-toned tiling, cream-white textures, and plush turquoise-blue sofas that add a refreshing vibe to the space. Minimal wooden furniture is hidden throughout the layout, emphasizing precise, hidden craftsmanship.
During the house tour, when Farah asked how PV Sindhu and Datta met, the couple shared their love story: they first met as strangers on a commercial flight. And this left Farah nostalgic, jokingly comparing their real-life romance to the plot of the classic Bollywood romantic-comedy Hum Tum.
Moving forward, the three-story bungalow has a spacious dining area off the hall, with decent brown and beige furniture and green plants. What makes the dinning area even more special is the swimming pool view. To beat the summer heat, Sindhu also has a private swimming pool with a cozy sitting area.
Finally, the kitchen features bright, welcoming beige interiors. It boasts ultra-modern amenities, featuring a dedicated, highly organized spice rack system structured with the flawless symmetry of a high-end boutique storefront.
