A piece of really sad news coming in from the world of cricket.

As per the latest reports in SPN Cricinfo, Alan Davidson, the Australian all-rounder who played a very important role in the 1960 tied Test match has passed away. He breathed his last at the age of 92.

During his Test career from 1953 to 1963, Davidson played in 44 matches and took a total of 186 wickets, achieving an impressive average of 20.53. This makes him the second-lowest average bowler with over 150 Test wickets, behind only SF Barnes (whose average was 16.43). In addition to his bowling skills, Davidson was also a talented batter, scoring five Test fifties and maintaining a first-class average of 32.96.

Our condolences to the family of the lost soul and may the departed soul rest in peace.
