Rishabh Pant has reached Mumbai Kokilaben hospital to undergo his surgery. As per reports he has been airlifted to Mumbai to get the surgery performed. Asserting the details, BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) stated that a surgery will be performed followed by the necessary treatment for his ligament tears. The board will continue to monitor Pant’s health till his recovery.

“Rishabh will undergo surgery and subsequent procedures for ligament tears and will continue to be monitored by the BCCI Medical Team throughout his recovery and rehabilitation,” it added, “The Board will make every effort to aid and expedite the recovery process of Rishabh and will provide him with all the support he needs during this period.” BCCI stated.

Rishabh Pant met with the accident while in his car. The accident followed in early morning December 30. He was off to meet his mother in Roorkee in Uttarakhand, when his car crashed with the divider. However, he escaped the fatal accident without life-threatening injuries.

Pant was transferred to Max Hospital in Dehradun where he underwent plastic surgery to address laceration wounds, facial injuries, and bruises after receiving primary care at Saksham Hospital in Roorkee. His spine and brain MRI scans that evening came back normal.
