Some exciting news coming in for all fans of cricket. With the WTC Final getting over and New Zealand managing to win their first-ever ICC title in many years, the focus is now quickly moving from the longer format of the game to the shorter T20 cricket format.

As per the latest reports in The IndianExpress, the T20 World Cup which was earlier set to happen in India will now be held in UAE tentatively between October 17th and November 14.

Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and Dubai will be the three venues that will be hosting the games whereas Oman will be in charge of hosting the qualifiers.

Reports suggest that the detection of the new Delta variant of the virus is the biggest concern and that’s why the BCCI doesn’t want to take any risk.

Meanwhile, Australian cricket Tim Paine who had earlier predicted that India will comfortably defeat New Zealand in the WTC Final has apologized for his wrong prediction. He was quoted by Newstalk ZB saying,

“”We all get some wrong. I copped a bit from the Kiwi fans so I thought I’d come on air and eat some humble pie. I thought the New Zealanders played outstandingly. It’s always a pleasure to watch the way they go about it. For such a small nation — I’m from Tasmania which is obviously our smallest resource state and we punch above our weight — so I certainly respect what the Kiwis do on an international stage.”
