Being recognized for your work is a humbling feeling. After all the hard work you have put into something, finally getting the reward of being admired; being recognized makes you believe that everything was worth the effort.

Similar was the case with the God of Cricket, Sachin Tendulkar. To his many awards and achievements yet another one was added of being the 12th ‘most admired man in the world.

YouGov, online market research and data analytics firm created this online survey wherein Sachin was on number 12 of the lists and the third sportsperson to receive this honour after Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

This year the survey was conducted on over 42,000 individuals from different countries. A total of 38 countries were surveyed.

Sachin Tendulkar surpassed the former US President, Donald Trump and well known Bollywood celebrities like Shahrukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan to achieve this spot on the list.

Making right use of his power and wealth, Sachin has been working with the underprivileged section of society for a long period now. As a part of his work, he has been associated with UNICEF for several years and is often seen doing voluntary work with the help of the organization. He was also appointed as the South Asian ambassador by UNICEF in the year 2013.
