KL Rahul

KL Rahul, a batsman for the Punjab Kings, reached 3000 runs in the IPL on Wednesday. While playing against Rajasthan Royals, he achieved the feat. He is now the second-fastest player in IPL history to reach the milestone. He did it in the 80th over, surpassing the likes of SRH’s David Warner (94) and CSK’s Suresh Raina (103). Meanwhile, his Punjab Kings teammate Chris Gayle, who has 75 inns, is in the first place. KL Rahul has now become his IPL franchise’s second-leading run-scorer.

He scored 49 runs off just 33 balls, including four fours and a couple of sixes, throughout the contest. He was a whisker away from taking the lead in most runs in the IPL 2021.

In the meantime, KL Rahul has regained his place in the most sixes tally. He passed Jonny Bairstow, who had withdrawn from the IPL. In the second phase of IPL 2021, he has smashed 16* sixes.

He’s also one of the tournament’s top run-scorers, dominating the Orange Cap standings. Punjab Kings’ success in the IPL 2021 will be determined by their captain. Rahul even scored the most runs in the ongoing edition of the IPL in the UAE.

Suresh Raina

During the IPL of 2014, Suresh Raina got off to a flying start in the early overs, despite Mitchell Johnson dismissing Faf du Plessis in the overs. Mitchell Johnson was brought on to get another strike, but Raina showed his class. Johnson blundered in line and was slashed to shreds by Raina’s persistent striking. On the leg side, there were two huge sixes, and a short ball didn’t have enough bounce and was taken to the boundary lines.

Sandeep Sharma added to his half-century with a flick on the leg side and a massive six-over covers on the off-side in his next over to bring up his half-century in only 16 balls.
