There are many great kabaddi players in the Indian national kabaddi team. All the Indian kabaddi players have made their nation and team proud at the international level with their skills. Everyone has mastered different spheres, like some are good defenders, whereas some are amazing raiders, and some are even talented all-rounders as well. Raiders have always played an important role in high scoring points. Indian kabaddi team has got many great and successful raiders like Anup Kumar and Ajay Thakur. Both the players are the top raiders of the Indian Kabaddi team and are even regarded as the raiding champions by many.

Anup Kumar, the former Kabaddi player, is also known as ‘Bonus ka Badshah’ who has made everyone proud. He brought several gold medals home, not only in Asian Games in 2010 and 2014 but also in South Asian Games in 2016, and from the 2016 Kabaddi World Cup. Anup Kumar has played in the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) for teams like U Mumba (2014 – 2017) and Jaipur Pink Panthers (2018-2019). The player got a total of 153 in the PKL 2014 and was a raiding champion.

On the other hand, Ajay Thakur, another former Indian kabaddi player, and the captain has been no less. It was 2014 when the player got a gold medal in Asian Games. Ajay Thakur has played a vital role in the 2016 Kabaddi World Cup and was also awarded the ‘Man of the Tournament’ title. The player has also been a part of the three teams in PKL – Bengaluru Bulls, Puneri Paltan, and Tamil Thalaivas. Ajay scored a total of 203 points in the sixth season of PKL, and it was his highest raid points scored among all the PKL seasons.
