Today that place has been taken by players like Hardik Pandya, Jadeja, and our own Captain, Virat Kohli. Fielding has always been a weak point for India as we often lost critical matches to minor errors such as dropping catches, missing runouts, and conceding runs as a part of misfielding.

However, over the recent few years, the Indian side has seen many great fielders in the form of Virat, Jadeja, and Hardik who now has influenced younger players such as Manish Pandey, Samson, and Shreyas Iyer to become great fielders.

All of these catches were perfectly taken and some of the catches were even difficult ones, which would have been dropped by any other ordinary player.

In any case, when it comes to over-fielding, Jadeja seems to top the chart followed by Virat and Hardik. His strong left arm helps him make a perfect throw from the boundary to the keeper and run the batsman out. He also has quick reflexes which allow him to intercept the ball moving at any speed past him. That is what makes him the best fielder currently on the Indian side.
