Table tennis star Sharath Kamal will make headlines for the Olympics for the fourth time in his career as he fixed the Tokyo ticket with a predominant success over Pakistan’s Muhammad Rameez. Sharath Kamal whipped Rameez 11-4, 11-1, 11-5, 11-4 in less than 22 minutes in the subsequent men’s singles cooperative match in the South Asia bunch. Kamal lost his first match with points 9-11, 13-15, 11-5, 11-7, 12-10, 9-11, 8-11 to Gnansekaran Sathiyan. The success over Rameez guaranteed a runner-up for Kamal which was sufficient to get a spot in the Olympic Games, in July. Sathiyan, who is the highest level Indian men’s singles paddler, qualified after success over Rameez in the last match in Doha.
