Internet Flooded With Memes After Chetan Sharma Gets Fired Due To Poor Performance Of India In Semi-Finals; Though Virat Kohli Stands Still

After the heartbreaking semi-finals of India against England for the T20 World Cup, the BCCI, aka Board Of Control for Cricket in India, on Friday fired the whole Chetan Sharma Led National Selection Committee and asked for fresh applicants for the vacant posts. In contrast, the committee had members Sunil Joshi, Harvinder Singh, and Debashish Mohanty. As this happened, cricket and cricketers’ fans flooded the internet with memes, including Virat Kohli in the meme saga.

The ragged fans shared the last year’s clip of a disappointing exit from the T20 World Cup, after which Virat Kohli voluntarily stepped down from the lead role in the T20 cricket format. In addition, he was removed from ODI captaincy, which highlighted the unsatisfactory terms of Virat Kohli and BCCI administrators. Sourav Ganguly revealed that he asked to rethink the decision. But Chetan did accept. And at the end of January, he also gave up the Test captaincy.
