KL Rahul is the most dynamic and flexible batsman in the Indian batting line-up. Which position can suit him the best?

KL Rahul At Top Order Or Middle Order: Which Batting Position Suits Him The Best?

Over the recent past few years, Indian middle-order batting has been in a very troublesome situation. After Suresh Raina, Yuvraj Singh and now Dhoni exited international cricket, it has been a tough time for Indian team management to replace them. Players like Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer, Manish Pandey and KL Rahul have been tried and test to fill in those positions and the results turned out to be good but still not better.

KL Rahul has now already played at number 5 and also as an opener in absence of Rohit Sharma or Shikhar Dhawan. When he was asked about his changing batting positions, he proudly accepted that he was happy to play anywhere the team needs him to play. That being said, constantly moving a batsman’s batting positions is expected to affect his performance and make him less effective but that is not the case when considering Rahul.

Rahul has successfully managed to play at any position and help the need create an innings or finish of the game with ease. The only thing team India needs for their next encounter with Australia in 2nd test match is a solid top order with KL Rahul somewhere in it. With Virat Kohli going back home, India’s batting side is looking very very weak and hence they need to get Rohit Sharma back as soon as possible. With Rohit and Rahul in the line-up, India has a chance to make a strong comeback.
