Along with Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja makes the Indian’s fielding side to be one of the most defensive sides in world cricket. He is known for never having dropped a catch and the most dependable fielder for bowlers. Here are some moments from his cricketing career where he shocked everyone with his field: –

Jason Roy’s Catch – With Jason Roy and Johnny Bairstow looked all set and confident and both nearing their century as openers, India’s hope to win looked lost in a match in the 2019 Cricket World Cup. Then came Jadeja at long-on who dived in for a catch with everything he had and gave a crucial breakthrough for India in Kuldeep Yadav’s over when he was going for a lot of runs.

Mahmudullah’s running catch – It was the last over drama during the Asia Cup final when India’s chances of winning the final looked scarce against Bangladesh. Jadeja took a stunning catch after covering a long distance with his run and falling down. As he fell and rolled on the ground, the things he cared about was not dropping the ball in his hand.

Catch and Bowling – After Bhuvashneshwar bowled a short of the length delivery to dismiss New Zealand’s, Niel Wagner, he pulled it towards Jadeja at Deep Mid-wicket. Jadeja seemed to have lost his judgement of the ball and went ahead from the direction of the ball and yet made a jumping attempt for the catch. He grabbed the catch and was pushed back with momentum as he bowed down to avoid stepping on the boundary and he was celebrated by the audience.

These are only a few moments from many other amazing attempts Jadeja has made towards fielding. This is what makes him the best fielder in the world.
