Ranveer Singh is enjoying the success of his cricket epic “’83,” which gives an account of the Indian men’s cricket team winning the World Cup in England in 1983.

The movie is based on the record-breaking success of team India when they won the 1983 World Cup. Ranveer who is the main lead of the movie plays the role of Kapil Dev who played an essential role in getting home the World Cup trophy in 1983.

The film was received well among the audience and even the members of the current Indian Cricket team who did not shy away from praising Ranveer and his team.

The great batsman Virat Kohli, gave a positive evaluation of the Ranveer Singh-starrer ’83’. In a tweet, Virat claimed that the film will transport viewers to the emotions and memorable events of the 1983 World Cup.
