There have been many incredible goals scored by different players this year and even though each goal was unique in its own way, the one which Son scored against Burnley last December outstands all the other goals. He has played 15 matches in the Premier League this year and has scored 11 goals for Tottenham Hotspur.
He received this deserving award because of his incredible and magical full-ground run with the ball and a perfect finish.
He went past enemy mid-fielders and defenders all in just mere seconds and scored a perfect goal. He constantly had two players running behind him to stop him and as he closed the gap between him and the goal, more players tried to corner him but he dodged every single one and scored past the goalkeeper as well. Tottenham won the match with 5-0 on the scoreboard. Son scored the third goal for his team which ended up giving him this award for the best goal of the season.
The award ceremony happened virtually over video-conferencing due to Covid-19 restrictions. Son was sitting home with his family and eagerly waiting for the name of the winner to be announced.
