A video of KL Rahul playing against Jhulan Goswami on the net at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru is circulating over the web. In the viral clip, Goswami is seen bowling a fuller length delivery on the stumps to KL Rahul and then another shot of short ball off stump. While the right-hand batsman pulled the ball perfectly, he hit the ball on the cover drive and was hit from the back foot on the off side.

However, it is good to know that KL Rahul is currently in NCA after his surgery for a sports hernia in Germany. Rahul missed the five-match T20I series played against South Africa in June this year. The cricketer was about to lead the Indian team in the series as the regular skipper Rohit Sharma was unavailable due to his groin injury, which kept him away from the series.

Meanwhile, Rahul was last seen playing in competitive cricket in the Indian premier league 2022. He led the newbies Lucknow Super Giants in the tournament this year. Under his captaincy, the team reached qualifier 2 of IPL 2022.

KL Rahul reportedly is to make his comeback for India in the upcoming five-match series against West Indies, but the decision will depend on his health. India’s T20I series will start on July 29.

While Goswami is a right-hand pacer for India in the 2022 ICC Women’s World Cup, however, she is not in the upcoming squad as she announced her T20I retirement four years back.
