Cricket is known as gentleman’s game. Cricketers share a perfect relationship with their fans and are humble enough to pose for a picture or sign an autograph for them on the go. However, there have been times when fans got on the nerves of these cricketers and they lost their calm. In fact, we have seen that a controversial comment or booing from the crowd has led to more frustration for the player. Here are a few cricketers who got in a fight with their fans.
Virat Kohli: Virat Kohli is well known for his aggressive style of playing. When Virat Kohli was playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL, he was tempted by a section of crowd when he was going back to the pavilion. Consequently, Kohli lost his cool and went to threaten the crowd. In another instance, in a test match against Australia in Sydney, the audience in the stands started ridiculing him. Kohli lost his cool and showed the middle finger to the fans.
Andrew Symonds: In the second semifinal of the CB series in 2007-08, a streaker rushed onto the field and ran towards Andrew Symonds. Symonds who is well built gave a shoulder and knocked down the streaker before the security official grabbed the man.
Mohammed Shami: Mohammed Shami lost his cool when Pakistan thrashed India in the Champions Trophy final by 180 runs. The Indian team was making its way back to the dressing room when a fan made a comment on India’s loss. However, Shami was quick to pick and gave a glare to the fan.
Rohit Sharma: Hitman was provoked by a fan during a net session. The right-hander was disturbed when the fan passed a comment when he was training in the nets. Rohit Sharma threatened the fan and warned him that he will hit him with the bat.
Well, cricketers are humans, too and they do lose their cool.
