Veteran actor Ramesh Bhatkar dies of cancer

Renowned Marathi and Hindi actor of stage, films and television, Ramesh Bhatkar passed away today after a battle with cancer for the last one year. He breathed his last at the Elizabeth Hospital in Mumbai. He has worked in not just Marathi, but has done a couple of films in Hindi as well. He became a household name with the Marathi TV series Hello Inspector and Damini. Bhatkar, who was 70, son of popular music director Snehal Bhatkar, was an actor for three decades.
