Kerala High Court To Review ‘The Kerala Story 2’ After Backlash Over Communal Tensions
The upcoming film The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond, scheduled for theatrical release on February 27, 2026, has become the centre of a heated legal and political storm for igniting communal hatred. Plea Filed In Kerala High Court Alleges ‘The Kerala Story 2’ Incites Communal Disharmony, Seeks Ban
The Kerala High Court on Monday issued notice to the producers of The Kerala Story 2 – Goes Beyond, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, following a petition requesting that the film be stopped from release and its certification be cancelled. Sreedev Namboodiri, a biologist from Kannur, filed a petition with the court because he believed the film had a misleading title and content that did not reflect its actual material.
