April Fools’ Day is frequently observed among friends and loved ones as a source of amusement and joy. However, technology corporations and startups have been fooling people with harmless practical jokes for a while now. Some of the internet titans’ jokes and puns have been mistaken for serious announcements in the past. When you look at the calendar, though, it’s simple to see that they’re merely deceiving people – not to make them sad, but to bring some humor to their life.

Thanks to the coronavirus pandemic, which forced tech giants like Google to cancel April Fools’ Day jokes, the latest April Fools’ pranks from companies come after two years of testing times.

Xiaomi has hinted that a new tablet will be released soon.
Xiaomi began teasing the release of a new device earlier this month, which many speculated would be the new Xiaomi Pad variants. Instead of verifying such details, the Chinese corporation announced the launch of a variety of ‘tablets.’

Xiaomi claims that the new “Mint Tablets” were launched to bolster Mi fans’ confidence. The company has even made a film promoting the tablet’s packaging, which, in case you were wondering, isn’t going on sale in the real world.

Nothing’s Another (1) Phone

Nothing, the company founded by OnePlus Co-Founder Carl Pei, has joined this year’s April Fools’ Day jokes by teasing a phone named Another (1). The startup plans to release its first smartphone, the Nothing Phone 1, in the summer of this year.

Nothing is intended to be a hit at smartphone manufacturers who release new phones on a frequent basis. It claims that by releasing its new smartphone this year, it will shatter the smartphone market’s monotony.

Oppo unveils a new gadget.

Not just Xiaomi, but even its indigenous rival Oppo, has joined in on April Fools’ Day pranks this year, revealing the Oppo Gotcha, a little device.

The display of the Oppo Gotcha is said to have a refresh rate of 1,422Hz. It also has dual stereo speakers that can be enlarged to 11 and an “extremely clicky button,” according to the company’s teaser. Nonetheless, it’s nothing more than an April Fool’s joke.
