For many individuals, Gmail is the most crucial ID since it is powered by the same Google account that integrates data throughout your devices for platforms like Google Keep, Google Drive, Google Photos, and more. As a consequence, loss of access to it due to a forgotten password can be a major source of anxiety. In such instances, here’s how to restore your email ID.

If you forget your Google account password but know your email address, you may restore your account by going to the Google Account Recovery website.

Here are a few simple steps that you can follow to get access to your forgotten email id.

On any browser of your choice, look for “Google Account Recovery” and head straight to the first link that appears on the page. On that page add the concerned email address.
Next, Google will ask you for any previous passwords if you remember any, if you do enter that and proceed, if not click on the ‘try another way’ icon.

Google will now offer you verification questions to ensure that you are the one trying to restore your account and not somebody else. To change your password and regain your account, answer your security questions and follow the steps.

Create a solid new password that you are unlikely to forget once you access the new password screen using any of the options. Use a password management application or write down your password on a safe piece of paper.
