Dashing actor Deepak Wadhwa who has joined the cast of Naagin 3, the Colors supernatural thriller produced by Balaji Telefilms is happy to have gotten back to the daily grind on TV.
Deepak who has impressed one and all with his portrayals in shows Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, Dhoondh Legi Manzil Humein, Kaali – Ek Punar Avatar, Qubool Hai, Gangaa, Tamanna etc will play brother to Pearl V Puri in the new reincarnation story line.
Says Deepak, “It feels nice to be back on the TV screens. The role here in Naagin 3 is good, with quite a lot of layers to it. I look forward to a good run for a month of so before Naagin 3 draws to its closure.”
Deepak believes in doing noteworthy roles, even if it means it is for a shorter duration. “I like the way actors get picked for series abroad. Actors gain name and fame for the content in the role, even if the character is seen for a shorter time period. I guess Indian TV should also accept actors who want to follow this mindset. Actors should not be typecast for a particular kind of role. If given a chance, actors will deem fit in any given role.”
Deepak aims to work towards bagging his next lead role. “With Naagin 3, I have gotten into the parallel lead space. However, I feel that I deem fit to be in the lead space. After this stint, I will look for a lead role on TV.”
