It appeared plausible that Kim Wexler might never appear or be heard from again on Better Call Saul after the shocking breakup between her and Jimmy in “Fun and Games” two weeks ago. Technically, we haven’t either because Rhea Seehorn and her flawless ponytail didn’t appear on camera in “Nippy” from the previous week or “Breaking Bad” from this week. However, the episode’s opening provides crucial new information regarding Kim’s whereabouts while leaving many unanswered issues for the show to address in its last two episodes.

Since Kim isn’t a character in Breaking Bad, some viewers have long believed that she must have passed away somewhere between the events in Better Call Saul that occurred before the events in Breaking Bad and Jimmy’s metamorphosis into Gene after Saul. Kim’s emotions are impossible to ascertain, but the data indicates that her life is, at the very least, far less stressful. Kim doesn’t want anything to do with Jimmy and seems to have established clear limits for her interactions with him.

She has a job at Palm Coast Sprinklers, where she is not frequently exposed to ruthless drug dealers who commit murder. She also resides in Titusville, a community that seems to be selected specifically due to its closeness to Cape Canaveral and the Kennedy Space Center. The current question is if and when we will see Kim on Better Call Saul again. Maybe she’ll pay Jimmy a visit in prison. Or provide evidence in court against him?
