Actor Arnav Maggo has been winning hearts with his compelling performance as Hridaan in Star Plus’ drama Yeh Fitoor Tera, produced by Ved Raj’s Story Square Productions. Going beyond the typical trope of a lead’s brother, Arnav has turned Hridaan into a standout, deeply layered character that resonates strongly with viewers.
Reflecting on the overwhelming response to his portrayal, Arnav shares his gratitude for the audience’s warmth. “The support from the audience and fans has been incredible. I receive so many DMs and edits every day, and it’s heartening to see people deeply invested in Hridaan. It’s genuinely encouraging, and it gives me a strong sense of responsibility toward the viewers.”
Central to the narrative is the nuanced relationship between Hridaan and his half-brother Jeet, played by Ishaan Dhawan. Off-screen camaraderie played a key role in bringing that authenticity to light. “Initially, we focused on understanding the characters and their complex history—it’s definitely not a one-dimensional equation. As Ishaan and I worked together, we became close friends and spent time hanging out off-screen. That camaraderie allowed us to freely experiment and explore the dynamics on camera,” Arnav explains.

Hridaan’s selfless devotion to Saumya forms one of the emotional anchors of the show. Detailing his perspective on their bond, Arnav says, “That’s one of the most beautiful aspects of the show. Hridaan has loved Saumya since childhood—it’s pure, unconditional, and selfless. In today’s world, that kind of love where you expect nothing in return is rare. She trusts him implicitly, and he ensures he remains a safe space and a shoulder she can always lean on. His love has stood the test of time, and he is always respectful, never letting it feel intrusive.”
Finding common ground with his character, Arnav highlights both shared traits and personal inspirations. “I love how empathetic and understanding Hridaan is. While others take things at face value, he tries to understand why people are the way they are. In terms of similarities, just as he is passionate about hockey, I’m deeply passionate about music as a singer-songwriter and guitarist. I learn from him every day—how to operate with a pure heart, a calm mind, and always look at the greater good.”
Playing a character faced with intricate family dynamics—navigating his parents’ history, supporting his mother, and sharing strong bonds with his sisters and grandmother—has given Arnav an expansive canvas as an actor. “It’s one of the most fulfilling experiences of my career.
