Actor Mukul Harish, who has recently stepped into Sony SAB’s popular show Pushpa Impossible as the complex and unpredictable character Tiger, opened up about his deep connection with the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi and how Bappa’s divine presence shapes his personal life and career.
“Bappa’s blessings mean everything, especially in Mumbai, where the festive energy transforms the city into something magical. For Pushpa Impossible, my wish is simple: our team pours immense hard work into every frame, and I hope the audience embraces my character with the same love,” he says.
“Growing up, our neighbour Bavaskar Aunty brought Bappa home every year, managing everything from plucking flowers to cooking the prasad single-handedly while we helped as kids. That hands-on devotion laid the foundation of my own faith. Living alone in the city means I don’t host Bappa at home, sticking instead to the strict traditional values instilled in me by Bavaskar Aunty. I make it a point to visit friends and seek Bappa’s blessings across the city during the festival,” he adds, recalling his Ganpati memories.
Talking about the highs and lows of life and how Bappa has blessed him, he says, “The acting journey comes with inevitable highs and lows, and Bappa has been my anchor through the toughest phases. His strength keeps me grounded, resilient, and relentlessly chasing my goals. The sudden quiet across Mumbai post-visarjan feels bittersweet, but I view it as a ‘see you later’ rather than a goodbye. It resets the clock, reminding us to go full throttle toward our ambitions until Bappa returns next year. Beyond the grand scale of the festival, Ganesh Chaturthi is a reminder to live by Bappa’s core values—never giving up, honouring our promises, and holding our parents with the utmost love and respect.”
Bringing this renewed faith and dedication to the screen, Mukul Harish enters Pushpa Impossible as Tiger—a fiercely independent, street-smart man with a troubled past who relies on his sharp instincts to survive. Speaking about taking on this intense and eccentric character, Mukul shared, “Tiger is completely unpredictable and fascinating to play because nothing about him is ordinary. From how he speaks and walks to his unique reactions, his eccentricities make every scene an exciting challenge for an actor. Diving into Tiger’s distinct personality has been deeply satisfying.
