Child actor Zara Khan, who has earlier been part of popular TV shows like Balika Vadhu 2, Chhoti Sarrdaarni and Maitree, turns 10 today, on 24 September. The young actress is celebrating her special day with a vacation in Paris.
Expressing her happiness, Zara said, “I am super delighted to celebrate my 10th birthday in Paris, in front of the Eiffel Tower. It feels like a dream. I am grateful to my parents, who are always supporting me, believing in me, and helping me make all my dreams come true. Also, my audience and well-wishers and everyone who has loved me and supported me in my journey so far.”
Talking about entering double digits, the young star shared, “Now that I am turning 10 — double the digits, double the responsibility. I understand that my studies will get a little more difficult, and when it comes to acting, the roles will demand more performance. As a child, it is your look and innocence that the audience loves the most. But at this age, along with innocence, you also need to perform and deliver dialogues. So, I am prepared for all the new challenges that will come my way. I know my parents are always here to guide and help me.”
On the work front, Zara revealed that she is shooting for an upcoming film featuring actor Sharib Hashmi.
She said, “I am really excited and feeling very blessed to be a part of an upcoming Bollywood movie. When I first heard the story, I was so thrilled. It’s a different and interesting role for me. I want to thank the director and the entire team for believing in me and giving me this big opportunity at such a young age.”
Speaking about how she chooses her roles, Zara shared, “I started my journey with TV, and now I am doing movies. My parents decide all my roles for me. What’s best for me is always their priority. They never judge a platform — for them, my performance and screen time matter the most. They are helping me learn and grow as an actor, so that by the time I become an adult, I can give my best performance.”
Zara, who started her career at the age of four and has worked with stars like Kareena Kapoor Khan and Alia Bhatt in brand campaigns, has also been part of series like ’36 Days’ and ‘Adrishyam’. She made her silver screen debut with ‘Puppy Love’.
