Star Plus’ newly launched show Faltu created a stir since the launch. It has brought an engaging and motivational story that highlights a very important issue regarding unwanted girl child. Young and talented actor Aakash Ahuja is playing the male lead, Ayaan Mittal, in Faltu. And his chemistry with Niharika in the show has always been the talk of the town.
Talking about the show, Aakash said, “The first thing that attracted me was cricket. My first love is cricket. Apart from that, the story is very inspiring. It is a story about the real struggle of a young girl whose feudal family has time and again rejected her individuality and has treated her as somebody who is not their own. It is about how she fights all odds and shines.”
When asked about his character, he added, “There are a lot of layers to the character. The role has an amazing back story which will slowly unfold as the show proceeds and I feel it will surely entertain viewers. I relate a lot to Ayaan. He is a responsible and generous young man. He loves his family more than anything else in the world. He is someone who sacrifices his own dreams to take up the responsibility of his family.”
Elaborating on the concept, he mentioned, “It is unfortunate that initially women were not encouraged to play cricket. However, now we have some great examples. People like Mitali Raj and other Indian women cricket players are doing very well in their careers. Recently, the BCCI also announced equal match fees for men, and women cricketers so it is amazing. Women always deserve equal rights.”
