Television star Deepika Singh and her husband, acclaimed director Rohit Raj Goyal, are making headlines as they step onto a reality show together for the very first time. Known for keeping their personal lives largely private, the couple shared how delighted they are to embark on this journey on Colors TV‘s brand-new show, Dhamaal with Pati Patni aur Panga.
As they step into the spotlight together for the very first time, Deepika shared, “This show is special for us and our family as we are together seen for the first time. Our families are sure to enjoy this show, and so is our son.”
Reflecting on their contrasting daily routines and strong individual personalities, Deepika opened up about how rare it is for them to share the screen. “This is my first reality show based on relationships. I have never gone with my husband even on a red carpet. We have unconditional love towards each other, support and shield each other. But the fact remains that we have never had the time to sit and play a game together. We work on such different schedules. This show is giving us the platform to be together, find out more about aspects of our togetherness.”
Rohit added on to say, “We both are strong personalities; our POVs are different. With the show and its situations, we are shocked to see this new side of us in the show.”
Rohit candidly shared a refreshing side of Deepika away from her intense on-screen personas (Diya Aur Baati Hum, Kavach, Mangal Lakshmi), saying that he is happy to see her playful side in the show. “Deepika has always been a responsible person from an early age. In the show, we are seeing her childlike nature where she is confused, not able to understand and react, etc. This shows that you cannot be a perfectionist in everything, and it is perfectly fine. The baseline is that we are enjoying being together on the show.”
Emphasising authenticity and deep friendship, Deepika explained how the show serves as a therapeutic escape. “This show is like a therapy for us. Rohit has always been busy with his shows and the film that we did together. So seeing him in a relaxed mood here makes me happy.”
