Adhyayan Suman and Hina Khan psychological web series Damaged 2 might return with a new season.
“Given the positive buzz there is a possibility of the same and I am already in initial talks with director Ekant Babani, “ says Adhyayan who plays an under-confident crazy criminal who along with his partner Gauri (Hina Khan) targets young kid to stave off a ghost.
“The story is left open-ended, while we see the ghost getting Gauri (Hina), we have no clue as to what happens to my character Akash.”
Here Adhyayan adds that, “if the season 2 is indeed flagged off, he would hope for better budgets.”
“If you work in more relaxed atmosphere the output is also better. I am sure it will happen if things do go forward.”
Returning to season 2, this son of well-known TV actor, Shekhar Suman, Adhyayan says, “Hungama smartly learning its lesson from season 1, reduced run time to 15 minutes from the earlier 30 minutes and also slashed the number of episodes from 15 to just 6, this is what the doctor ordered for thriller genre binge watching. It also was a collective conscious decision (Me, Hina and Ekant) not to add unnecessary s*x in the show. There was just one love making scene which was shot quite well. Sex is important, only if it is required by the script. We rather be spoken for our story, performances instead of this.”
Adhyayan, who has had a bad-patch work wise of late, is hopeful that his well-appreciated acting in Damaged2 will open new web vista for him. “I am already doing a Prakash Jha digital show Ashram next with Bobby Deol. Today there are several OTT platforms available as well to showcase my work e.g.my songs do well on YouTube as well “, adds this multifaceted personality.
“I am hopeful that more people will watch my work and give me better options, I think I deserve better juicier roles then what mostly come my way.”
