She never expected she would come this far, says Adaa who has been working in the industry for 13 long years now. She started her career in ads, she never thought she would become an actor. Things kept rolling and She got her first role, she says.
Adaa Khan shared that she has had her share of struggles and remembers how tough the last two years of the pandemic were on the Telly industry. The Naagin actress says, “During the pandemic, things looked empty, and We didn’t know what could happen next hour or day. At one point, the actress thought maybe she should start searching for another career. An actor’s work is not a usual 9-to-5 pm nor does it come with a permanent monthly pay cheque. Also that everyone has been through such insecurities and you have to push through and move ahead and believe in yourself. However in the last year, because of Covid-19, things have changed in the entertainment business. Budgets have been low and makers prefer to take fresh faces in TV shows. While on OTT, makers prefer movie actors and somewhere down the line, we are like where should we go? Actors like us are wondering where to go. But fortunately, things seem to be much better this year and she shot for two OTT projects already.”
Looking back, the actress shares the fact that she comes from an orthodox family and still she is an actress today is a big thing. She says “In her family, her cousins and aunts wear hijab all the time. And she is the only one who is in the sensational field. Though they are proud and support her. Her achievement was she could get their love and support and no one is against her from her family. Also that her dad was orthodox but her mum’s support paved the way for her. She feels getting her family’s support made her just stronger and helped her work much harder.”
Her life was full of struggle and she still chooses to be strong and keep moving on. This is why she can do it.
