Young actor Atharv Padhye, who plays the role of Bandya in Sony SAB‘s show Itti Si Khushi, is excited about the celebrations around Diwali. The young actor is gaining appreciation for his effective portrayal of one of the siblings in the main Divekar family. He looks forward to the festival of lights to spread positivity around him and his loved ones.
Talking about keeping the spirit of Diwali alive even when one is away from family, he says, “Even if I am away, I try to keep the Diwali spirit alive by recreating small things that remind me of home — lighting a few diyas, playing old festive songs, and maybe sharing sweets or good vibes with friends around me. It’s less about the grandeur and more about the warmth and light that Diwali brings.”
He states that the world around can be a better place to live in with “More kindness and simplicity followed by all. By being a little more patient with people, expressing gratitude, and doing one small good thing daily without needing a reason — that’s how the Diwali spirit can outlive the festival.”
On the negative thought or trait that he wishes to eradicate in him this Diwali, Atharv states, “There’s always so much that you fight for every day. I would want more consistency with respect to relations and emotions.”
On his plans for Diwali this year, he says, “Hopefully, I get some time off from the shoot schedule. Irrespective of being able to go home or not, I will love spending time with close ones.”
Lastly, on the delicacies he loves during the festive ambience, he says, “Chakli, Karanji, Laddoo, and Shankarpali are my favourites. The home-made ones always hit differently, especially with the smell of ghee filling the house.”
Here’s wishing all our readers a very Happy Diwali!!
