Diwali is a festival that holds a special place in everyone’s heart, and for actor Amandeep Sidhu, this year’s celebration comes with a deeper sense of gratitude and joy. Currently, she is seen in Ganga Mai Ki Betiyan, the television drama produced by Ravie Dubey and Sargun Mehta’s Dreamiyata Entertainment, which airs on Zee TV.
“This year’s Diwali feels extra special because of all the love and appreciation I have received for my work,” she expressed. “Personally, it’s about spending quality time with family, decorating the house, and enjoying those small moments that make the festival truly beautiful. Professionally, it’s been a year of growth and gratitude, and that makes the celebration even brighter.”
For Amandeep, the essence of Diwali, the triumph of light over darkness, resonates deeply. “We all go through phases when things feel uncertain, but holding on to positivity always helps. There have been moments when faith and perseverance turned challenges into opportunities. That’s what Diwali reminds me of: the victory of inner light over doubt and darkness,” she said.
Having celebrated several on-screen festivals, Amandeep recalled how shooting for Diwali sequences always brings unmatched joy. “The entire set lights up literally and emotionally. Everyone dresses up, we share sweets, and there’s laughter everywhere. Even though it’s a shoot day, it never feels like work during such festive scenes,” she smiled.
Talking about what Diwali means to her, she said, “For me, it’s a mix of tradition, togetherness, and new beginnings. It connects me to my roots, strengthens bonds, and fills the heart with hope and optimism.”
When it comes to her personal celebration, Amandeep loves going all out with festive dressing. “I love dressing up in ethnic wear, especially something bright and elegant. This year, I plan to wear a beautiful traditional outfit, maybe a saree or anarkali. My Diwali plans are all about family, friends, good food, lights, and laughter,” she revealed.
As the festival also brings a time for reflection, Amandeep shared that gratitude is at the core of her celebration. “I am truly thankful for the constant love from my fans, the support from my family, and the opportunities that keep coming my way. Gratitude really is the best feeling, and this Diwali, I am celebrating exactly that.”
Reminiscing about her childhood, the actor fondly recalled, “I still remember decorating diyas with my mom, helping with sweets, and bursting crackers with my cousins. The excitement of wearing new clothes and the glow of diyas everywhere that memory never fades and still makes me smile every single year.”
