As the popular Zee TV show Tumm Se Tumm Tak, produced by Studio LSD, completes 400 episodes, actor Nasirr Khan reflects on the show’s journey, his most memorable moments, the camaraderie he shares with his co-stars, and the learning experience of working alongside Sharad Kelkar.
Reacting to the milestone, Nasirr says he does not see it as a reason to pause and celebrate. “No reaction. Every episode is a new beginning. All credit goes to the viewers, not us. Agar woh log dekhte nahi, toh hum yahan tak pahunchte nahi,” he says, crediting the audience for the show’s journey.
Looking back, one moment that remains particularly special to him is an emotional scene shot in Srinagar. “My crying in Srinagar. Because it was not written, it materialised over there, and we just shot it,” he recalls. For Nasirr, sustaining a character across 400 episodes is about finding freshness even while performing within a familiar framework. “You need to bring something; you just need to keep doing the same thing differently. Keep repeating and enjoying it,” he shares.
The actor also enjoys a warm equation with his co-stars, especially Sharad Kelkar. “I share a good rapport with all, especially Sharad Kelkar, and we have more fun doing the scenes. Agar hamare retakes telecast karenge toh aur maza aayega,” he says with a laugh.
Working alongside Sharad has also been a major learning experience for Nasirr. “Working with Sharad has been a learning. With an actor like that who has that kind of personality and voice, it is challenging to keep up with. So it has been fun,” he says.
Despite the demanding schedules that come with television, Nasirr says he does not allow the long hours to affect his approach to work. “I don’t get stressed about anything. I keep going on by the day. I don’t count the hours; I just work on my scenes and myself. I don’t sit in the make-up room. I’m always on set. Wahan itna kuch hota rehta hai, so you don’t know when the day is over,” he concludes.
