Sony Entertainment Television’s fiction offering ‘Dhadkan Zindaggi Kii’ has been winning over people’s hearts with its powerful narrative and endearing characters. During the course of the show, the viewers have been intrigued with Dr. Deepika’s journey that gives an insight into the struggles women go through just to prove their worth and earn the respect they deserve in the society. While in many instances Dr. Deepika has been let down by her co-workers or her family, she has alone fearlessly fought against the gender disparity at her work place. One character that has boosted Deepika’s morale is the character of Nikhil played by the talented actor Sid Makkar. Strangers at first, but now are more comfortable with each other and have become friends. His fun camaraderie with Dr Deepika Sinha, played by Additi Gupta, has peaked the audience interest.
Talking about how Nikhil’s character is like a fresh breath of air in the show, Additi Gupta said, “Every new character adds something interesting to the show’s narrative and that’s exactly what Nikhil Sardesai’s character brings to the storyline. He comes as a ray of hope for Dr. Deepika who is going through a tough time. He truly believes in her hence he encourages her to go ahead and achieve her dreams without worrying about what the society thinks. This is something that Deepika really needed the right push and the much deserved respect. Dr Deepika and Nikhil’s chemistry in the show can be called the first steps towards a long-lasting friendship. Sid Makkar is a great actor and a gem of a person who was an absolute joy to be around. It never felt he was new entrant on the show, the energy he brought was just amazing. We instantly connected so it actually helped to bring alive the chemistry on-screen.
