Good looking actor Abhishek Kapur of popular Zee TV show Kundali Bhagya is waiting for his positive fun loving character to really come into its own.

“I had got a good billing at the start, but now the track is focusing more on other characters. TV character graph always ebbs and flows,” he states.

Abhishek’s character is paired opposite the lanky Anjum Fakih. “Although our on screen romantic equation is yet to start, we have already got a good equation going. There is lot of banter between both the characters; we call each other shorty and lambu. Personally we have also become very good very friends as well.”

This is Abhishek’s first TV show prior to which he had done an international French film which was screened atMAMI film festival. “It is a matter of great pride to have worked with Ekta mam so early in my TV career. Every TV actor worth his or her salt wants to associate with Balaji,” he avers.

Point out that the industry chats about Ekta being a task master and he says, “Not only her, any producer would expect 100 % professionalism from their actors given the huge financial stakes involved.”

Looking ahead he would want to try his hands at web series and of course move to the big screen which is every actor’s dream. “However as of now, my main emphasis is Kundali Bhagya which has got me good amount of love and name in the past one year. If down the road something really juicy comes my way, I will then take a call.”

“I would love to do sports films especially on cricket which I love equally as acting. I really loved Ms Dhoni’s biopic; he is one of India’s best cricketers and we love him. Sushant Singh Rajput really has done justice to team India’s Captain Cool.”

Both cricket and acting have one thing in common, that is if you get into the A league, you really arrive. Otherwise you don’t make much money. “I am blessed to be able to do both.”

Best of luck, Abhishek!!
