Shruti Sharma, who made her television debut with the reality show India’s Next Superstars, later enthralled masses in TV shows Gathbandhan and Yehh Jadu Hai Jinn Ka.

Now, she is back to entertain audiences as Chamcham in Colors’s new offering Namak Issk Ka.

Just like any other girl of her age, Chamcham dreams of a happy and reputable life. But she is always met with grimaces and criticism because she is a professional stage dancer, a ‘Nachaniya’ from Bihar’s small town.

Talking about the show, Shruti says, “When I got to know about my character and the fact that I will have to dance a lot in the show, I was very excited to sign it. However, I was equally nervous too. I was a little scared if people will accept a show with such a different concept or not. But I am sure they will love it once they start watching it.”

When asked about her working experience with Monalisa, she mentions, “It is an amazing experience to work with Monalisa. She is very down to earth and humble. She is a gorgeous and wonderful dancer too. I danced with her and learnt a lot from her. Hats off to her for being such an amazing artist.”

Commenting on her hardship, she adds, “When I decided to take acting as a career and wanted to come to Mumbai, only my mother and brother supported me. Rest all my closed ones were against. Few relatives also had a question in their mind that what will be her future. I have faced such a situation so I can relate. It is not only about a dancer or actor, whenever a kid wants to do something different, many questions raised by the family and closed ones.”
