Actress Ishita Dixit, who has steadily grown into a strong screen presence, continues to impress audiences with her performance as Pari in Star Plus’ hit show Anupamaa, produced by Rajan Shahi’s Director’s Kut. From building her craft with patience to becoming an important part of one of Indian television’s most loved shows, Ishita’s journey reflects dedication and quiet confidence. As Makar Sankranti 2026 arrives, the actress looks back at cherished memories while celebrating the festival on set once again.

Talking about what Makar Sankranti means to her, Ishita becomes instantly nostalgic. “I have so many memories from Makar Sankranti. I come from a joint family, so all my cousins would gather on the terrace to fly kites together,” she shares. While kite flying was a big part of the celebration, Ishita laughs as she admits she was never very good at it. “I usually ended up holding the manjha,” she says.

One childhood incident has stayed with her over the years. “I still remember how my brother once cut his finger badly. The kite string can be extremely sharp, and if you rush without knowing the technique, it can be dangerous,” Ishita recalls. She adds that in the chaos, the string even got wrapped around her hand. “That moment has stayed with me,” she says.

Beyond kite flying, family traditions made the festival special. “My grandmother used to make the most delicious sweets. We would have a proper puja at home, and then the entire family would fly kites together. Those memories are very close to my heart,” Ishita shares.

On the professional front, Ishita reveals that Makar Sankranti celebrations continue on the Anupamaa set as well. “Last year too, I celebrated Makar Sankranti on set, and this year it’s the same. We shot festive sequences for almost two to three days,” she says. What excites her most are the upcoming scenes between Pari and Raja. “We have several romantic moments during the Makar Sankranti celebration. They are sweet, cute, and full of romance. I’m really excited for the audience to watch them,” Ishita adds.

For Ishita Dixit, Makar Sankranti 2026 beautifully blends heartfelt memories with meaningful moments on screen.
