Ganesh Chaturthi is a time of immense joy, togetherness, and warmth across Indian households. The arrival of Lord Ganesha brings a unique vibrancy, transforming everyday routines into cherished family celebrations filled with festive sights and flavours. IWMBuzz.com talked to actress Simran Rawal—who essays the character of Swati in Zee TV’s popular show Tu Hi Re Dil Mein- who opens up about her special connection with Bappa’s arrival and the simple traditions that make the festival unforgettable for her.

Zee TV’s drama Tu Hi Re Dil Mein centres around a poignant love triangle featuring Simran Rawal as Swati, alongside Abrar Qazi as Sanjay and Priyanshi Yadav as Vrinda. Swati is a composed and educated doctor whose life becomes deeply intertwined with Sanjay and Vrinda.

For actress Simran Rawal, the festive spirit of Ganesh Chaturthi is incomplete without traditional delicacies made right at home. Reflecting on her favourite holiday ritual, Simran shared, “For me, Ganesh Chaturthi is incomplete without modaks! There is something so special about seeing them being prepared at home and then sitting together and enjoying them after the celebrations.”

Beyond the culinary treats, the festival carries a magical atmosphere that unites people across generations in pure delight. Elaborating on how Bappa’s arrival lifts everyone’s spirits, Simran added, “I also love how the festival brings out a very childlike excitement in everyone, irrespective of age. There is so much happiness in the air, and even a simple family meal feels more special during these days. Bappa’s arrival is really about creating those little moments of joy that stay with you.”
