Tanisha Mehta struck gold when she bagged the role of the new generation lead in the evergreen show in its return, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bhi Thi, on Star Plus. Playing the role of Vrinda in the Balaji Telefilms show has given her a big boost. On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, Tanisha talks about how the festival is celebrated in her house.
Says Tanisha, “We haven’t got the chance to bring Bappa home just yet, but hopefully next year we will. Though mumma and I visit Lalbaugh Ganpati and we have a ritual where we visit grand Ganpatis around town.”
On the delicacies that they offer Bappa, Tanisha shares, “Modak and MotiLaddoos, modaks are my absolute favourite, coconut ones. And every year, I start craving for it just before Bappa comes.”
Talking about the festival’s significance, Tanisha states, “Ganesh Chaturthi is all about invoking the energy of new beginnings. It reminds us that obstacles are temporary and with faith, patience, and hard work, fresh starts are always possible. That spirit can inspire anyone to take the leap into new ventures with confidence.”
On her favourite plans for the festival, she says, “I love getting invitations to homes where they have brought Ganpati home. I love seeing the vibrant and different decor in every home and around town. I love getting ready like a proper Maharashtrian, in a saree with a nath and clicking photos Bappa.”
