Zee TV recently launched a new fiction offering ‘Rabb Se Hai Dua’ which focuses on the journey of Dua and Haider. A pure soul and a very simple girl at heart, Dua feels extremely blessed and grateful as she is leading what she considers a perfect married life, until one day when Haider confesses to having fallen in love with another woman.
Popular television actress Aditi Sharma, who rose to fame with the TV show Kaleerien, essays the role of Dua, an ideal wife, and a perfect daughter-in-law. Her life revolves around her husband and his family only. Though she talks to everyone with a lot of dignity and respect, she doesn’t fear taking a stand for herself, whenever needed.
Talking about the show, Aditi shares, “Coming back to Zee TV after almost 4 years is like a homecoming. I am thrilled to be part of this intriguing show as it has a beautiful story. When the producer saw me for the first time, he said, ‘tum meri Dua ho’. That’s how I came on board for the show. Dua is very innocent, calm, and kind-hearted. On the other hand, I am a very talkative girl. We have a few traits that don’t match but I feel the producer saw my innocence which was needed for the character.
She further added, “My character, Dua, is a kind-hearted girl who is enjoying a happy marital life until her husband expresses his desire to marry another woman and her world falls apart. She will take a strong stand while remaining a dutiful wife. Her journey will be heart-warming, and I am sure everyone will fall in love with her. One thing which was difficult for me was to get the Urdu dialect right. However, it was fun to learn it. What’s more is that I have never played such an intense character, which makes Rabb Se Hai Dua very special for me.“
When asked about his bond with co-stars, she mentioned, “We have bonded really well from day one. Karanvir pulls our leg on set and we enjoy shooting together. Once I played a prank on Karanvir and hid his phone. And that’s how you bond on set. Richa and I are like sisters.”
