Senior actor Shailesh Datar has been an eminent personality in Marathi and Hindi film and TV circuits. He is presently keeping his fans engaged in the character of Ninad Chavan in Star Plus’ popular show Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyar Meiin, produced by Cockrow and Shaika Entertainment.

Ninad comes across as a very unpredictable and intriguing character. Talking about the character’s personality and traits, the senior actor says, “Ninad is at times very unpredictable. His short temper, his loyalty and his commitment to Bhavani makes him a little harsh. But there is a lot to explore about him. His love for music, singing and playing the harmonium surfaced for the first time in the recent episodes. But his real nature and some other shades will be explored in the coming future.”

We have simply loved the new bond that has come across between Ninad and Sai (Ayesha Singh). “Yes, this new bond of his with Sai came as a surprise. They were very nice moments to perform. It surely added a new dimension to the character. Hope to see and perform the softer side of Ninad in the episodes.”

Ask him about the terrific combination that he and Bhavani create, to make life a living hell for Sai, and Shailesh is quick to say, “Ninad and Bhavani form a lethal combination when it comes to putting Sai in trouble. Their ego and their harshness make them really difficult to understand. Bhavani’s word is the final word for Ninad. So, this understanding is going to remain firm as a rock, come what may!! So, Sai’s problems may be far from getting over.”

Finally, ask him about the amazing success that the show Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin has seen, Shailesh explains, “GHKKPM is one of the best teams I have worked with. Production Teams, Direction Teams with whom I can communicate and get the things sorted. And most importantly the cast onboard the show is just unbelievably amazing. We are so connected on a personal level that a gap of a day in the shoot is used for parties at our homes. Whenever any one of the members from the group is not on set…We miss him/her. Daily having lunch together in my room is nothing less than a comedy show. All fantastic actors and now close friends make the shooting time fun.”

Well said, Shailesh!!
