Actress Smriti Khaannaa, who rose to fame with Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyann, has impressed audiences with her versatile performances in shows such as Rishton Ke Bhanwar Mein Uljhi Niyati, Santoshi Maa, Ek Chutki Aasmaan, Ganesh Leela, Kaal Bhairav Rahasya, and Mahishasur Mardini, along with a cameo in Balika Vadhu. When it comes to travel, Smriti doesn’t believe in counting her vacations. For her, travel happens whenever life allows it, whether it’s a planned holiday or a spontaneous getaway. She recently opened up about her favourite destination in India and a memorable girls’ trip that came close to the solo adventure she is yet to experience.
She said, “I don’t really count my vacations in numbers because, in my profession, it’s difficult to plan that way. It completely depends on my work schedule, my family’s availability, and whenever we can take a break together. Sometimes we even go on impromptu one- or two-day getaways, and those often turn out to be the most memorable.”
Talking about her favourite holiday spot within the country, she said, “Within India, my favourite holiday destination is Goa. I absolutely love its relaxed vibe, beautiful beaches, and the sense of freedom you feel there. Whether it’s enjoying the sunsets, spending time by the sea, or simply soaking in the laid-back atmosphere, Goa always helps me unwind and come back refreshed.”
She hasn’t been on a solo trip yet, but a girls’ trip with a close friend comes close to that spirit of adventure. She said, “I haven’t been on a solo trip yet, but I did go on a wonderful girls’ trip with one of my closest friends.”
“We travelled to Goa, where we explored the beaches, enjoyed the local vibe, and had an amazing time together. From there, we also visited Varanasi, and witnessing the Ganga Aarti was a truly spiritual and unforgettable experience,” she added.
She looks back on that journey with a lot of warmth, and hasn’t ruled out a solo trip somewhere down the line. She said, “It was a perfect mix of fun, adventure, and meaningful moments. We travelled together, made beautiful memories, and it’s a trip I’ll always cherish.”
“Hopefully, I’ll also experience a solo trip someday because I think that would be a different kind of journey altogether,” Smriti ended.
