Divyanka Tripathi has been amazing as the host of the newly launched singing reality series on Star Plus, The Voice and shares her thoughts.

I have grown all the more confident in knowing that the stage is mine: Divyanka Tripathi on hosting The Voice

The gorgeous and talented Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya has been enthralling one and all with her amazing acting talent!!

She’s been an actor to watch out for, from the time she stepped in as the lead in Banoo Main Teri Dulhann years back. Her girl-next-door look and effervescent smile is something that TV viewing audience love to get a glimpse of!!

Divyanka who has been donning the role of Ishita in Star Plus and Balaji Telefilms’ long-running show Yeh Hai Mohabbatein has taken it in her stride to experiment and explore various other mediums and responsibilities.

While she will be seen debuting on the web space with ALTBalaji’s series Coldd Lassi aur Chicken Masala where she will be sharing screen space with Rajeev Khandelwal, she has also chosen to try out her anchoring skills as host of the ongoing singing reality show on Star Plus, The Voice.

We at IWMBuzz.com got to talk to Divyanka about her new experience as host and she said, “As an actor and an entertainer, the challenge, newness and the excitement of course comes in when you get to try something different. It’s the first time I’m anchoring a reality show and I love it.  And what makes hosting all the more interesting is that as an anchor you become the bridge between the contestants and the judges. You drive the entire show in the right direction.”

“I get a first hand experience of so much talent and of course it’s a blessing to be working with a legendary musician like A R Rahman who is playing the Super Guru in The Voice,” added Divyanka.

Her loyal fan base has been excited to watch this new avatar of Divyanka as host. “The response from fans has been fabulous!  My fan family has been showering me with so much love and support. They love the fact that they are getting to see me as Ishita and Divyanka simultaneously.”

Divyanka made it clearly heard in the opening episode of The Voice that she is an ardent fan of A.R. Rahman the Super Guru on the show.  Talking about it, she exclaims, “Oh yes of course!  I love music, it is universal and has no boundaries.  And if you love music, how can you not be a fan of A R Rahman?  He’s a legend, someone who has made India proud in the global world of entertainment.  His songs are the ones that I’m sure generations upon generations after us will relish.”

Divyanka believes in understanding the pressures that the contestants face as host. “In that moment, I can feel exactly how they are feeling. I can relate to them as even I have been a contestant in several realities during my struggle years.  It’s not an easy journey being a contestant on a reality show and especially all the more today as the competition levels have increased so much.”

Divyanka has only gained confidence with this new exposure as host. “Honestly, you are always nervous when you try out something new.  How will it be?  Would I be able to speak so much knowing I am not much talkative off camera?   But all those fears vanished as soon as I stepped on stage on the first day of my shoot for The Voice.  I am a different person when the director calls for action. I think the best change is that I’ve grown all the more confident in knowing that the stage is mine!”

Way to go, Divyanka!! May you shine in this new role…
