Neha Harsora, currently winning hearts with her performance in Star Plus’ Udne Ki Aasha, says she constantly pushes herself to avoid repetition on screen and to evolve as an actor.

Speaking about consciously avoiding similar performances, Neha shared, “As an actor, I always want to explore something new. I don’t want audiences to feel like they already know what I’m going to do on camera. I try to understand my character deeply and bring different emotions and shades.”

The actress admitted that television actors often get stereotyped into certain character types. “Once people love you in one kind of role, they expect you to continue doing similar characters. But I think growth comes from stepping out of your comfort zone,” she said.

Talking about the ‘girl-next-door’ image attached to television actresses, Neha added, “It can definitely be challenging because television creates a fixed perception of actors. But I also think things are slowly changing now.”

She further revealed that emotionally layered roles excite her the most at this stage of her career. “I enjoy characters that are emotionally realistic and challenging. I like roles that challenge me mentally and emotionally rather than just looking glamorous on screen,” she said.

For Neha, reinvention has become essential in today’s entertainment space. “Audiences consume so much content now that actors need to keep evolving. But at the same time, you shouldn’t lose your individuality while trying to reinvent yourself,” she concluded.
