Actor Mohit Malhotra, who had returned to GEC TV with &TV horror show Daayan, is quite busy shooting. Despite his busy schedule, he took time off for a quick chat with IWMBuzz.com.
“I’m enjoying the fantastic journey and I have been having a great time being part of it. This is a new genre for me and I am absolutely enjoying every bit of it. Also, because I got to play the title role and this is the first time someone has played a male daayan on television. I am very happy that audience has accepted it with so much love and appreciation. I am eternally grateful for the blessings and affection that they always shower on me.”
This good looking dude has been around for over a decade, starting with MTV Splitsvilla, Mitwa, Phool Kamal Ke. His other well-known shows have been Sasural Genda Phool, Bade Achhe Lagte Hain and Kya Hua Tera Vaada.
He had taken a break from long-running shows post his 2015 Jamai Raja stint, which ended with Daayan. However, the above Ekta Kapoor production is not rating well.
“As an actor, my job is to perform with the best of my craft and entertain viewers. Numbers honestly don’t worry me as long as audience and fans are pouring in their love constantly.”
He also refused to comment on the recent episode with his co-star, Tina Dutta, who first accused him of sexual harassment but later recanted.
