International Women’s Day, celebrated each year on March 8, throws the spotlight on women and their rights. Actress Ayesha Singh, better known as Sai from Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin on Star Plus, also shares her views about the importance of this day.
She says, “I think women are powerful. We just need to provide them with resources and equal opportunities to help them find ways. Females are way stronger than they actually believe. I am celebrating women’s day on my set and we plan to cut a cake. We recently did a small gesture for a lady on set, who sells bhakari and encouraged her. I hope to encourage and empower women around me.”
Talking about the special women in her life, she adds, “The special woman in my life is my mother as she has nurtured me. I am who I am because of her. I have a great impression of my mother on my life up till now. Then I have my girlfriends, who are special. They know a lot of me and we all are each other’s support system.”
