Deepika Singh talks of the strengths and positives of being a woman.

Deepika Singh is an affectionate daughter, dutiful wife, and a loving mother!! On the occasion of Women’s Day, Deepika wishes to appreciate the women in her life always, and not have one special day to honor them.

Says Deepika, “There are so many women who are not aware of their rights. So this day can probably be used to spread awareness and the message all over that being born as a woman is indeed special. Having said this, women need to be valued as priceless always, on all days. Women’s Day can be a day where we can look back and see how far we have come. Whatever privilege we have got is commendable, but we have it in us to surge forward and go ahead. It is a day to celebrate the victory of women. It is a day to celebrate the thought that women have broken many taboos in the professional field and have risen to power. Women know to balance their professional as well as personal life. You can see women in every field and sector of employment.”

Deepika will want to be reborn as a woman. “I love myself, I love being a woman. Women are emotional in our relationships, and I love our attitude. Only we have the right to give birth. We are Nature’s blessed people. So why not?”

“There are many women who have inspired me. My mother and grandmother, have influenced my life in a beautiful way. Sushmita Sen is my favorrite. Ekta Kapoor, Smriti Irani, Late Srideviji, are all inspiring.”

“I am happy to be born in the family I am born in. I have got all that I have aspired for. I have never been dominated by any man. I am a Leo girl and nobody can dominate me (smiles). I hate partiality a lot and I have always stood my ground when it came to gaining respect.”

Deepika has a huge list to better herself as a woman. “Every day is a learning day. First and foremost, I want to better my craft –acting and dancing. I want to be better in communication; I want to have more knowledge of politics.”

The special message coming from Deepika is that “Educate yourself, know your rights. Never ever get scared of anything. Speak up. Never try to suppress your inner voice, always listen to it. This world is ours.”

Deepika, Happy Women’s Day!!
