Pooja Gor talks about the new season Mann Ki Awaaz Pratigya

The iconic show ‘Mann Ki Awaaz Pratigya’ produced by Rajan Shahi and Pearl Grey returned to TV screens after a long break of 9 years leaving fans nostalgic and thrilled like never before. Season 2, airing on Star Bharat, revolves around Pratigya, who is now a public prosecutor in Allahabad, forced to choose between her emotions as a mother and her duty as a lawyer.

Young diva Pooja Gor, who plays the lead role of Pratigya in the show, got candid with IWMBuzz.com. In the conversation, Pooja revealed about the new season, nostalgic moments and the special feeling of reuniting with the cast. Read on:

How do you feel to be back on-screen with Pratigya 2?

It feels great to be back on-screen with Pratigya 2 as the show and the character are special to me. It’s an opportunity of a lifetime. It’s back due to the demand of the fans. I believe life comes full circle with Pratigya 2 and it has certainly made 2021 special for me.

Do you have any pressure with regards to the sequel?

Not really, as actors all we can do is to perform to the fullest potential. After that, it is up to the audience to decide the fate of the show. For me, I don’t have any pressure on how it will perform or whether it will be successful or not. I have high hopes from Pratigya 2 and I also have faith that it would do well.

How will be Pratigya 2 different from the previous season?

9 years later, the story has progressed. As a story evolves, a character too tends to showcase changes, hence the family has also changed. There is no crime that has happened and there is also no illegal business in the family now. Pratigya is now a public prosecutor and all this brings a new and fresh perspective. The essence of the story will be the same but it would be bigger and better.

Did you go through any physical transformation for the role this time?

No, because this character did not demand any physical transformation. However, it demanded more mental perspective change. I know how to play Pratigya as a daughter, wife, and bahu. I have not played the role of a mother in reel or real life so I don’t know the nuances of being a mother. When certain situations cropped up, I spoke to my mother and took guidance from her. The two kids, who play my children in the show, come with their mothers on the set and I observe them and speak to their mothers when needed. I try to bond with the kids off-screen to make my on-screen camaraderie look fabulous.

How was it to reunite with the cast, co-stars?

It was fabulous. It doesn’t feel like that we met after 9 years. It felt so good to be with the team again. Watching all of us reuniting was indeed a unique occasion as old memories got refreshed with positive energy reflecting in our on-screen performances. We are reliving those special moments again and we often have get the déjà vu feeling on the sets.

Any final message?

I am thoroughly grateful for all the love and it is because of their love the show is back. This daily is something to look forward to, so I’d like to take this opportunity and encourage more viewers to tune in and shower their love.
