As the festival of colours approaches, an intangible sense of magic permeates the atmosphere, signifying a period characterised not only by vibrant shades but also by profound renewal and contemplative reflection. Holi is observed to celebrate warmth and illumination with each enthusiastic application of colour. For Zee TV’s Shagun Pandey, this celebration signifies much more than the joyful throwing of gulaal and festive gatherings; it represents a rich tapestry interwoven with cherished memories, enduring relationships, and valued traditions, which resonate within their hearts long after the vibrant colours have diminished.
Shagun Pandey, who plays Ved in Zee TV’s Saru, tells us, “Holi has always been one of those festivals that makes time slow down, no matter how hectic life gets. As a kid, my cousins and I would go from street to street, laughing and chasing each other with Gulal.”
He goes on to say, “Those are the moments that taught me that life is meant to be lived with passion and playfulness. Today, whether I’m on set working or with my family at home, I try to carry that same spirit, the laughter, the mess, the music, the joy of forgetting your worries for just one day. Holi reminds us that every shade, every moment, has its own place in our story. So let’s paint our days with love, kindness, and lots of colour.”
Here’s wishing one and all a cheerful and colourful Holi!!
